We’re excited to bring SpeedMeet events back for 2022.
SpeedMeet provides the opportunity for employers looking for new talent to meet with secondary school students looking for a career. Think job-hunting speed-dating style!
Employers meet with each student for six minutes, then both note whether they’d like to see each other again. Matches are made and contact details are shared for another meeting.
With the support of the Ministry of Education, Careerforce has teamed up with other industry training organisations to organise nine SpeedMeet events across Aotearoa in August and September.
SpeedMeet is held at a secondary school but note that we also invite the students from other secondary schools in that location to attend.
Employer commitments
It’s free to participate. As an employer, your commitments will be to:
- be available 8:30am to 2:30pm on the day
- bring at least one person to conduct the interviews (it can be a busy day), and
- bring an internet-enabled device for the matching process.
You are also welcome to bring a branded sign/banner for behind your table.
We will provide your table and chairs, lunch and refreshments.
