Attracting a more diverse workforce

Life Changing Careers

The Life Changing Careers campaign was developed to build more diversity into the care and support workforce. This includes attracting more younger people, males, Māori and Pasifika and people with lived experience e.g. of disability. Launched in May 2021, the campaign has already generated outstanding results in terms of visits to the campaign website.

However, we know that to noticeably change the diversity or makeup of the care and support workforce, we need a multi-year campaign. While early days, any evidence that the campaign appears to be working for employers will support our proposals for funding to keep the campaign alive.
