Invitation to Te Pūkenga employer briefing

Kia ora

In September, we shared with you that following extensive consultation, our Board had made the decision to transition our ‘arranging training’ function to Te Pūkenga, the new organisation that is bringing together the 16 polytechnics and the arranging training functions of many industry training organisations.

Pending Tertiary Education Commission approval of our transition plan, we expect that we will transition into Te Pūkenga later in 2022, becoming a business division within the Work Based Learning subsidiary of Te Pūkenga.

Te Pūkenga’s current priority is around developing its operating model, and this email is to let you know about some upcoming employer briefings by Te Pūkenga, and the opportunity for you to participate in its operating model engagement.

This high-level operating model outlines delivery of services designed to create good experiences and outcomes for employers like you, and your staff who are training in the workplace.

You are invited to attend one of the five Te Pūkenga online briefings to view the proposed operating model. At the briefing, you will also find out how you can contribute to the operating model’s detailed design, should you wish.

  • Monday 18 October: 4:00 - 5:15pm
  • Tuesday 19 October: 12.00 -1.15pm
  • Tuesday 19 October: 4.00 - 5.15pm
  • Thursday 21 October: 12.00 -1.15pm
  • Thursday 21 October: 4.00 - 5.15pm

Please click here for the invite from Te Pūkenga, which has more information and details on the briefing sessions, and a link to register, or you can register here.

This operating model engagement runs from Monday 18 October through to
Monday 8 November, and there will be multiple ways via which you will be able to engage. Further information will be available on the Te Pūkenga site from Monday.
